As usual, the Festival will take place during the summer season in the most artistically interesting venues in the Veneto and neighboring regions such as theaters, historic villas and monumental churches.
It begins on May 31 at Padua’s Auditorium Pollini with the Inaugural Concert featuring falutist Massimo Mercelli, Lorenzo Guzzoni on clarinet, and Giulia Ginestrini on bassoon. Great protagonist Wolfang Amadeus Mozart. The complete performance of the Concertos for wind instruments and orchestra, which began with the inaugural Concert of the Veneto Festival last 2023, continues. Three of Mozart’s most important concertos will be offered to the audience, starting with KV 313 in G major for flute. With this composition Mozart gives the solo instrument the opportunity to explore its full range with special “musical games” that can enhance the phonic characteristics of the wind instrument. Mozart wrote this Concerto for the Dutch patron De Jean, a music lover of the principal instrument of this Concerto: the transverse flute.
