In the Petricore series of the skin, Dao thi Mi Linh investigates the landscape as a sensitive surface, as a body. The term “petricore,” commonly associated with the smell of the earth after rain, is here translated and reinterpreted: no longer just soil, but skin, a place of contact, memory, and transformation.
Like the earth, the body also holds and releases traces, absorbs, sediments, and releases. In this series, the landscape becomes epidermic: a thin threshold where interior and exterior blur, and where memory surfaces in liquid, unstable form, traversed by presences.
