In June, MUSICA AL MUSEO will begin, the summer festival of the Friends of Music of Padua organized in collaboration with Padova Musei Civici and hosted in the splendid setting of the Albini Cloister at the Museo degli Eremitani.
Five concerts from June to September, on Thursday afternoons at 6:00 p.m., on the following dates: June 12 and 16, July 10 and, after the summer break, September 4 and 11. The program of the festival is very varied and includes very original events, which are divided into a long musical journey backwards, starting from contemporary music to arrive at Renaissance melodies.
After the success of last season’s accordion recital, the choice was made to open the season on Thursday 12 June with a similar concert, entrusted this year to GABRIELE CORSARO, National Arts Award 2023, with a program dedicated to contemporary Russian, Danish and French music.
Another National Arts Award for the second appointment on Thursday 26 June: harp recital with MIRIAM PIPITONE, who will range from the baroque harmonies of Händel to the French composers of the last three centuries.
Thursday, July 10, “Dolcissimi Affetti e Armonie Segrete” (Dolcissimi Affetti e Armonie Segrete), an ancient music concert with the CONCENTUS MUSICUS FE’ ANTICA, an ensemble from the Department of Ancient Music at the Ferrara Conservatory. After the summer break, Musica al Museo will resume on Thursday, September 4 with ERNESTO CAMPAGNARO (violin) and RICCARDO BALDIZZI (cello), with a program that brings together two twentieth-century composers, Zoltan Kodály and Maurice Ravel, with the contemporary Italian composer and cellist Giovanni Sollima and more ancient music with Sinfonie, battaglia e passacagli, for the refined final concert of the series on Thursday, September 11, in which LI SCOLARI SUONATORI will perform seventeenth-century Italian instrumental repertoire.
