Hortus Gold, Silver and Green.
Contemporary Jewels Eight artists with different personalities and experiences who put their expressive ability to good use in a continuous comparison.
There is all this in “Hortus. Gold, silver and green. Contemporary jewels”, the exhibition created by the Civic Museums of Padua with the contribution of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, from May 10 to June 29 at the Oratory of San Rocco.
The title suggests that nature is the center of interest of the artists who exhibit at the Oratory of San Rocco, united in the Gruppo DiCalibro.
The works hosted in the exhibition curated by Mirella Cisotto Nalon are in fact dedicated to the Botanical Garden of Padua, the oldest university garden in the world, founded in 1545 and recognized since 1997 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which gave its patronage to the project.
The over one hundred jewels on display, also thanks to the skillful use of materials and the use of innovative techniques with papier-mâché, porcelain and other supports, create a living relationship between tradition and modernity, recalling the rich and very important legacy of the Goldsmith School of Padua.
