The Musici Patavini return to the stage on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Teatro Don Bosco in Padua with the concert “Oscar Music“, as part of the cultural series “Cinemusica in DB maggiore.” The project, promoted by the Don Bosco Institute in collaboration with OIC via Nazareth, combines the love for social interaction and human exchange with the enhancement of culture, art, and beauty. Thanks to the support of the Cariparo Foundation, the series offers a unique opportunity to experience the magic of cinema accompanied by live music.
The evening will present an exciting journey through the most famous soundtracks in the history of cinema and will be enriched by the presence of Stefania Miotto, a soprano capable of engaging and moving with interpretations ranging from opera to the most beloved and well-known international hits, making the concert a unique and captivating show.
In the new program “Oscar Music,” the Musici Patavini and Stefania Miotto will present a repertoire that spans compositions by Nino Rota to the tango classics of Astor Piazzolla, up to pop songs and traditional melodies, featuring a setup including piano, accordion, flute, and strings, complemented by electric bass and percussion to support the rhythm section.
The evening will begin with a tribute to Rota, through a medley of his most famous works, followed by the passionate notes of the tango and accordion by Mirko Satto, with Piazzolla’s “Oblivion” and “Libertango.”
The audience will then be transported by the emotions of the theme from Life is Beautiful by Nicola Piovani. There will be moments of lightness and nostalgia with classics like “Que Sera Sera” and a medley of ABBA, while the timeless “Besame Mucho” and the selection that includes “That’s Amore” will add a touch of romance to the evening. The concert will reach its peak with the Dollar Trilogy and will conclude with the triumphant notes of “New York, New York.”
The series, scheduled from October to November 2025, offers a journey through cinema and music, designed for those who love to be moved by great melodies and the stories of the big screen.
