Traditional and eagerly awaited Spring Concert of the Solisti Veneti.
After the events of the last few months, the 2024 Concert Season will resume in Padua on March 8, on the occasion of Women’s Day.
This year the Spring Concert coincides with the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the historic Orchestra.
The program will propose the performance of some pages by Vivaldi, Händel, Mozart and Puccini chosen to pay homage to both the international guest soloists and the virtuosos present in the historic formation, often soloists, as per tradition, of the Orchestra’s concerts.
The Solisti Veneti will open with the poignant Intermezzo from Manon Lescaut, on the centenary of the death of the great Giacomo Puccini, revisited, in an intimate and very refined instrumental reworking, by Chiara Mario, an award-winning composer from Padua.
A few minutes before the concert, the “Lions Club Padova Morgagni” will also award the scholarship reserved for the best graduate of the C. Pollini Conservatory of Padua. The designated winner for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023 is the violinist Chiara Volpato Redi (Bachelor’s Degree, 110 cum laude with honorable mention) who, for the entire concert, will be part of the I Solisti Veneti directed by Giuliano Carella.
