The Giuseppe and Leonino Da Zara Local Historical Education Center presents “The Typewriter”.
A collection of Italian and foreign typewriters, with models dating back to 1892 and belonging to different phases of the evolution of this instrument, until its gradual disappearance with the advent of digital technologies. The exhibition traces the technical, aesthetic, and social evolution of one of the most important communication tools of the twentieth century, featuring rare specimens and machines produced by major Italian and international manufacturers. The journey also tells the story of the role of typewriters in everyday life, in offices, journalism, and literature, offering testimony to an era when every word was directly printed on paper.
Opening of the exhibition on Saturday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. Special opening on the occasion of the Casalserugo fair on Sunday, 04/10/2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Every other day from 03/10/2026 to 10/10/2026 during the public opening hours of the public library.
