We will have the chance to admire our city from an unusual and evocative perspective, a privileged view from one of the canals that in the past represented the main access for those coming from the Venetian area: the ancient walls, monuments, bastions, and historic buildings of Padova will thus take on new and particular connotations.
Starting from the Porta Contarine, we will pass by the magnificent Porta Portello, alongside the Renaissance Walls (the work of the ingenuity of Bartolomeo D’Alviano), we will cross the ancient Graissi bridge, until we reach, before turning back, the superb 17th-century Villa Giovanelli in Noventa Padovana, the pride of our territory.
All of this will be enhanced by a pleasant aperitif served on board during the navigation, interspersed with historical and cultural anecdotes about the history of Padova and the river navigation of the area.
Meeting time is at 5:20 p.m. at the Porta Contarine.
A contribution of € 20 is required (for members € 18), for children only € 10, which includes nearly 2 hours of navigation and a small aperitif on board.
