After the summer break, the 2026 Opera Season resumes at the Teatro Verdi in Padova with Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo. Inspired by a true story, a murder that the composer witnessed as a child committed by a murderer dressed as a clown, the opera in two acts with music and libretto by Ruggero Leoncavallo will feature the direction of Gabriele Lavia, a renowned actor and director among the most representative and famous in the history of Italian theater. The Orchestra of Padova and Veneto will be conducted by Pier Giorgio Morandi, a specialist conductor of the opera repertoire. Along with the famous Veneto tenor Fabio Sartori, a guest at the most important Symphonic Opera Foundations, the vocal cast includes, among others, Irina Lungu in the role of Nedda and Ernesto Petti in the role of Tonio.
