The Basilica of Santa Giustina will host on Friday, October 24 the Padova Urbs Organi APS festival, a special edition titled Alternative Sounds for a Changing Festival. The highlight of the evening will be the Coro Polifonico San Biagio, which ranges from classical polyphony to modern polyphony, both sacred and profane, conducted by Francesco Grigolo, presenting a rich and engaging anthology program. The journey starts from the polyphony of the 15th century (Laudario di Gualdo Tadino), to Thomas Tallis (16th century), touching on choral pieces by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartoldy, Sergej Rachmaninov, and living composers Andrej Macor, Manolo Da Rold, the same Francesco Grigolo, and other interesting composers who will allow us to savor the rich color and timbre possibilities of the mixed a cappella choir. The Padova Urbs Organi festival is made possible thanks to the support and patronage of the Municipality of Padova, Cultural Department, in collaboration with AsoloMusica, Collegio Universitario Don Mazza, Basilica of S. Giustina, Conservatorio C. Pollini, Liceo musicale C. Marchesi, Associazione ITALIARMENIA, Libreria Armelin Musica, and thanks to the technical sponsorship of Bettin Pianoforti
