From November 7 to December 4, 2026, the Sala della Gran Guardia in Piazza dei Signori will host the traveling exhibition Pinocchio in Gallery, a Journey Through Art History Through the Eyes of Pinocchio.
The exhibition consists of thirty original works by José Luis Cicciò of various sizes — created partly in oil on canvas and partly in watercolor on cardboard — which propose an original pathway in the history of art, reinterpreting famous masterpieces through the figure of Pinocchio. The famous character enters works inspired by the great masters of art history, becoming the protagonist of an artistic journey.
Among the exhibited works, Pinocchio interacts with the creative universe of artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Caravaggio, and Joan Miró, bringing forth new images in which references to art history can be recognized, while at the same time discovering details, stories, and curiosities. The exhibition is aimed at an audience of all ages and offers an experience that unites art, imagination, and creativity.
The inauguration is scheduled for Friday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m.
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
