Coins, medals, and documents that tell, step by step, a journey made of passion, study, and research.

Coined stories – from october 3 to november 22 at Palazzo Zuckermann – celebrates the sixty years of the Circolo Numismatico Patavino, retracing activities, cultural initiatives, and milestones achieved by the association from its foundation to the present day.
The exhibition, curated by Gianpietro Sanavia of the Circolo Numismatico Patavino, is produced by the Civic Museums of Padua with the contribution of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo.

The exhibition offers a true journey through time through the historical memory of the Circolo Numismatico Patavino, composed of posters, period photographs, publications, and catalogs of the most significant events, along with the precious art medals commissioned by the association to celebrate anniversaries and illustrious figures of the city.
A significant space is dedicated to collecting, featuring thematic medals made for the Municipality of Padua, Italian currency in Lire from 1861 to 2001, and some commemorative examples in Euro, demonstrating how contemporary currency also represents an important historical-cultural document.

Among the novelties of 2026 stands out the commemorative medal dedicated to the sixty years of the Circolo and the scheo patavino tribute to Padova Urbs Picta, presented last july 24 on the occasion of the five years since the frescoed cycles of the 14th century were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Moreover, the exhibition is enriched by a section dedicated to numismatic literature, a fundamental tool for deepening the study of the subject and understanding its market value.

APPOINTMENTS
During the exhibition period, there are two in-depth visits scheduled: on october 17 and november 14 at 10 a.m.
