Saturday, September 20th, penultimate Tartini Exploration of the 2025 edition, with a tour dedicated to the relationships between Giuseppe Tartini, master and scholar, and the musical environment of the Enlightenment era. The figure of an exceptional student of Tartini, Maddalena Lombardini, will be illustrated, and the female musical education of the institutions of the time will be outlined.
The stops of the cultural walk (starting at 15:15 from the fountain in Prato della Valle) will be the Cloister of the Santo, the Church of S. Maria dei Servi, and the Church of Santa Caterina. In the latter church, which houses the tomb of Giuseppe Tartini, a solo violin concert will begin at 17:30, introduced by musicologist Angela Forin, who will guide the listening experience between the notes of Tartini and “Broadcast,” the “tribute to Tartini” written by Leonardo Mezzalira, a student of the Composition Class of Maestro Giovanni Bonato at the Pollini Conservatory of Padua. The piece, woven between music and space, recalls Tartini’s reflections on acoustic propagation, perception, and attentive listening as a form of discovery. On the violin is the Venetian Giovanni Agazzi, praised by his teacher Salvatore Accardo as “a violinist who combines very pure musicality with impeccable technique and a very beautiful, warm, and powerful sound.”
His formative process is long and commendable, from the “B. Marcello” Conservatory in Venice, to the “Chigiana Academy” in Siena, to the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano, and finally to Salzburg. Since the age of 10, he has won numerous first prizes, including a prize with a plaque from the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano. He is part of the Italian Chamber Orchestra, founded by Salvatore Accardo, and collaborates with renowned musicians as well as the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice, and the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland.
