The University of Padua Student Art Center resumes after the summer break with two concerts scheduled between October and November. And it does so with two female talents with an international scope, Frances Marie Uitti and Eiko Ishibashi, thus demonstrating that it continues on the path of original proposals.
The second date is set for 9 p.m. on Nov. 13, when the Porto Astra Cinema will feature Eiko Ishibashi, a Japanese multi-instrumentalist and composer, active between pop, improvisation, art soundtracks and soundtracks. After a successful concert with Jim O’Rourke in April 2023, she returns with a special project in collaboration with Oscar-winning director Ryusuke Hamaguchi. An exclusive version of the film ‘Gift’ without dialogue will be presented, with a live soundtrack performed by Ishibashi. The festival enjoys the patronage of the University of Padua, the competition of the Ministry of Culture and the contribution of the City of Padua – Department of Culture.
