Three wishes for three toys
What would happen if in the famous fairy tale by Aleksandr Puškin the roles were reversed? If the old fisherman Ivan, after catching the golden fish, told the story to his daughter Anna Polina and his brother Dimitri? How could a boy’s wishes differ from a girl’s if they found themselves facing a little golden fish that can grant a maximum of three wishes? The wishes would start from sophisticated toys with automatons that would turn out to be little engaged by the two kids, in short toys that “play by themselves”, making the children simple passive spectators and limiting their ability to perform even a simple gesture beyond deciding to turn it off. Thus, the second wish is for a toy that can be handled and controlled. Finally, for the last wish: Anna Polina will ask her brother Dimitri to play with him in their father Ivan’s boat, who will tell them a fairy tale…
The show, inspired by the fairy tale “The golden fish” by Aleksandr Puškin, aims to offer the audience a reflection on the ways children play, highlighting the beauty of sharing and playing together.
In case of bad weather, the show will take place at the Antica Pieve San Prosdocimo in Villanova di Camposampiero (PD)
