Getting to know a city like Padua means loving its enormous artistic and cultural heritage, but also analysing and remembering the tragic and bloody episodes that have characterised its recent history, however sad, violent and painful they may have been.
By popular demand, we are repeating our urban walk that will take you through the city’s alleys and arcades to discover places that have witnessed, despite themselves, the harsh stories and suffering that have characterised them.
In our narration, made more engaging and exciting by the darkness of the evening, we will delve into dramatic and salient episodes of the last 50 years, episodes that have marked a historical period that many would like to forget or repress, but which has represented a fundamental point in our contemporary history.
From the beginning of the so-called ‘Years of Lead’ to the present day, we will captivate you with stories that are sometimes forgotten, but in other cases vivid in the memory of those who lived through them, respecting the pain of those who, despite themselves, experienced certain losses or suffering first-hand.
A contribution of €12 per participant (€10 for members) is required for a guided tour lasting almost three hours.
The meeting point is in Piazza Cavour at 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday 2 September.
