The association Italia Liberty has organized a guided walk that starts just steps from the station, in front of the Grand’Italia Hotel, an elegant building from the early 20th century.
Continuing along Corso del Popolo and veering towards via Niccolò Tommaseo, the story becomes more intimate: the liberty style in the city did not take root with the same strength as in Milan or Turin, but a vibrant bourgeoisie was still able to commission refined examples, such as the Palazzina Liberty, a small urban gem that testifies to a measured yet conscious adherence to the new aesthetic.
On the opposite side of the city, towards via Donatello, lies the Antonianum (1905–1907) by Gino Peressutti, which introduces a more dynamic and experimental language. Along the route, the guide weaves stories and suggestions, from the origins of the artistic movement to its international protagonists.
