A DUO OF PERSPECTIVES ON DISPLAY: “ARTISTS IN FOCUS” Luise Gandon & Angela Thouless
Two languages, a common search: the face as a threshold between us and the world.
Luise Gandon makes the portrait a “window to the soul.” A Franco-Austrian painter, she works in Freestyle style with vibrant acrylics and tactile brushstrokes. Her close-ups capture the intensity of the gaze: each eye is an inner landscape made of time, memory, and spirituality. She draws inspiration from film snapshots to capture the pure emotional moment.
Angela Thouless transforms urban gesture into collective symbol. A Scottish artist, she blends street art and ancestral energy in her Tribal Pop. Her archetype masks, born on recycled spray cans, draw from African, Asian, Celtic, and South American cultures. Her message is clear: “we are one species, one tribe.” Dense color, impulsive gesture, ancient roots with a contemporary twist.
