Students’ Day was called on 8 February 1900, commemorating the fateful day of the insurrection in which students took part in 1848, traces of which still remain in the white room of the Caffè Pedrocchi, with the hole in the wall of an Austrian bullet fired during the clashes.
Between drawing rooms and cafés, amidst Prati’s poems and jokes against foreign domination, conspiracies come to life and the dramatic days of ’48 are prepared.
