The languages explored by Giancarlo Zen are at the center of the exhibition hosted at the Eremitani Museum in Padua, from April 25 to September 13, 2026. This is the first retrospective dedicated to the Florentine artist, who lived and worked in Padua from 1970 until his passing in 2020. Giancarlo Zen. Light Creates Image brings together a body of works from the artist’s estate, enriched with loans from public and private collections, both Italian and international.
The exhibition, curated by Guido Bartorelli and Barbara Luciana Cenere, is organized by the Civic Museums of Padua with the contribution of the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation, in collaboration with Marina Apollonio and Alvise Zen, the artist’s wife and son, and under the supervision of a scientific committee composed of scholars from the Department of Cultural Heritage at the University of Padua, which has granted its patronage.
