In 2024 the River Film Festival reaches its eighteenth edition, with the awareness of a cultural event that spectators have learned to appreciate for the originality and authority of its choices.
River International Film Festival of Padua – organized by the Researching Movie Cultural Association, supported by the Municipality of Padua, the Veneto Region, the Ministry of Culture and sponsored by the University of Padua, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security – celebrates the eclecticism of independent short cinema international.
In the suggestive location of Porta Portello, on our floating screen anchored to the waters of the Piovego river, we project a careful selection of works created by new talents on the contemporary audiovisual scene, with particular attention to emerging cinematography and social and environmental themes. The kaleidoscope of aesthetics, schools and styles that characterizes our programming reflects the fundamental values of the festival: creativity, freedom, dialogue, inclusiveness and internationalism.
All RiFF events will, as always, be free to enter.
