Few multinational agrochemical companies control 63% of the seed market and 75% of the crop protection products market. This concentration creates evident repercussions and commercial imbalances: millions of farmers are subjected to the decisions of these multinationals that dictate the rules of the market for all that is technically necessary for cultivation and breeding. Mencini, as in his previous books, not only denounces what is wrong but, through a new journey through the plains and highlands of our country, encounters farming realities that, respecting the environment and its extraordinary biodiversity, promote peasant agriculture, agroecology, which recovers ancient knowledge, exchanges seeds, and values local products. Demonstrating that another agriculture is still possible.
