The text is a theatrical show in period costume, which recounts the birth and evolution of the “Civiltà delle Ville” with anecdotes, stories and curiosities.
Animated visits to enter, in the company of teatrOrtaet actors, the Venetian Villas, which are particularly suited to telling how the “villa” with its characteristic architectural typology gradually covers different functions: from economic hub of agricultural development and business of the “mainland”, starting from the land owned by the patriciate of the Serenissima, gradually rising to a place of residence and holiday, taking on in some cases important functions of civil and diplomatic representation.
The protagonists of the animated visit are the most famous masks of the Commedia dell’arte, the puttes and other characters, who are traveling in burcio-burchiello along the Naviglio-Brenta or the Sile to complete an ideal journey in the Venetian “mainland” between the plains and hill. The vast majority of villas could in fact be reached by water, a more convenient and safer transport system than land transport.
