The Solisti Veneti are an Italian chamber orchestra founded by maestro Claudio Scimone.

She is famous internationally particularly for her performances of baroque music from the eighteenth century Veneto, with a repertoire that ranges from the sixteenth century to the present day.

Over the years the orchestra has gained a reputation as a specialist in the performance of baroque music by Italian authors such as Antonio Vivaldi, Tomaso Albinoni, Francesco Geminiani, Benedetto Marcello and Giuseppe Tartini.

For their performances, the musicians use musical instruments made by eighteenth-century luthiers assembled with the system of today’s Symphony Orchestras. They currently have over 300 albums under their belt.

Among these, unknown works by Vivaldi, Albinoni, Tartini and Gioachino Rossini. Their performances have ranged across all the great capitals of the musical world from Vienna to Paris, New York, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Salzburg, also reaching Santiago, Sydney, Vancouver.

Currently directed by Giuliano Carella they have been guests of some of the major Italian and foreign musical events and institutions such as the Rossini Opera Festival.

After collaborations with pop music artists such as Lucio Dalla, Gino Paoli and Massimo Ranieri, the last two years have seen the birth of new collaborations which have led the Orchestra to perform with jazz musicians PFresu and Di Bonaventura, and to produce Amilcar Soto’s album Rodriguez and Susana Baca.
