An updated version of the previous multimedia exhibition on St. Anthony which dated back to the 1970s, this new, fully immersive, multimedia experience transforms the art and spiritual devotion associated with the saint into an extraordinary spectacle; it is an emotional tour that enhances the experience of a pilgrimage to the Basilica of St. Anthony. Thanks to the innovative way of enjoying ‘Antonius’, now a permanent exhibition, visitors can explore the enthralling life of the city’s patron saint; they can also learn about the Basilica as a religious foundation, and the work of the monks who keep St. Anthony’s message alive throughout the world. The exhibition space extends over around 1,000 m2 and admission is through the very atmospheric setting of the Chiostro del Generale [Friar General’s Cloister]. The exhibition is laid out in Italian, but there are audio guides in ten other languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Croatian, Arabic and Russian. There is also an audio-description guide for the visually-impaired.
