Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani, Mirò

Drawing masterpieces from the Musée de Grenoble

Must see

“My drawing at a stroke is the direct and purest translation of my emotion.” Henri Matisse

Matisse, Picasso, Chagall, Miro, Modigliani, Signac, Bonnard, Vuillard, Rouault, Delaunay, Arp, Balthus. And again Cocteau, Artaud, Klossowski and Michaux.

These are just some of the protagonists of the exhibition, which will be hosted from 5th October 2024 to 12th January 2025 in the spaces of Palazzo Zabarella, which continues to excel in international dialogue with important world-renowned museum institutions.
This is the turn of the masterpieces from the Musée de Grenoble, a rich collection of drawings that go to investigate the experiments of the movements and protagonists that have profoundly renewed the vision and representation of reality in the first half of the 20th century.

On display are the great protagonists of the post-impressionist avant-gardes developed before and after the war: from neo-impressionism to fauve expressionism, from cubism to the return to order, from Dadaist rebellion to surrealist dream and abstraction.

130 works, 47 artists, a major international exhibition.
From October 5th to January 12th the appointment with the great art of the 20th century is in Padua, at Palazzo Zabarella, with “Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani, Miro. Masterpieces of drawing from the Musée de Grenoble.”
