The lights of Padua’s Christmas 2021 are ready to shine!

On Saturday the 20th of November the city lights up: this year there are more than sixty lighting installations that decorate buildings, squares and roundabouts in the district, in addition to the elegant lighting of the shops in the centre, supported by contributions from the Comune di Padova.

On November the 26th, the big tree in front of Palazzo Moroni is also lit, which with its twelve thousand lights and the decorations by Dodo Gioielli is the heart of the Christmas atmosphere of the city of Padua.

Then, the big videomapping show, involving twelve historic buildings and churches, from Palazzo della Ragione to Palazzo Moroni overlooking the squares, from Palazzo delle Debite and Palazzo del Capitanio with the Torre dell’Orologio to the Gran Guardia, and again the Palazzo Monte di Pietà, the Palazzo Ex Inps and then the novelties of this year: the Torre degli Anziani and some of the most important churches of the city such as the Duomo, the Basilica of Santa Giustina, the Chiesa degli Eremitani and the Santuario di Arcella.
An artistic project that enhances the cultural and historical identity of Padua, highlighting the recent recognition of Padua Urbs Picta as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The project was also realized thanks to the contribution of Venice Promex and AcegasApsAmga.

Do not miss, as usual, the appointment with the magic of the Christmas markets, which are located in Piazza Eremitani, Piazza Capitaniato and Corso Umberto. Many stalls with typical products, Christmas items and art crafts are waiting for you!
